Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of durable, esthetic porcelain placed over the teeth that show when you smile. Porcelain veneers can mask stains, chips, gaps, and slight misalignments in just two visits. About the thickness of a fingernail, porcelain veneers require very little tooth reduction prior to placement. The totally custom design will transform your smile into a work of art and greatly improve your self-esteem.

The Veneers Process

At Fountain View Family Dentistry, we work with patients to carefully design porcelain veneers that exceed their expectations. We make study models that demonstrate the final shape and length of teeth and allow you to preview the potential results. You will have an opportunity to thoroughly discuss the desired color, and we’ll give you shading guides, as well as make recommendations for a color that complements your facial features. Further, we take diagnostic photographs, so we can closely communicate with the dental laboratory that will create your veneers.

Clinical Procedure

Once you and Dr. Harden have agreed upon a design, we will prepare your teeth to receive the veneers. For your comfort, we use computer-controlled anesthesia. Then, we’ll take impressions to send to the dental laboratory and create temporary veneers that closely resemble the final product. Dr. Harden carefully designs temporary veneers using modern techniques for strong, high-quality results. In 2 to 3 weeks, visit our Woodstock office and we’ll get your approval on the color, shape, and overall appearance, and then place the final restorations.

At Fountain View Family Dentistry, we enjoy helping patients achieve their smile goals, and we go to extreme lengths to ensure we understand your needs and desires. We value your input and want you to be involved in the decision-making process. This ensures your ultimate satisfaction with process and the final product.
